Obituary

Dorothy Lee "Dottie" (Charles) Cramer, 91, of Reynoldsville, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday September 2, 2023 surrounded by her family.

She was born in Punxsutawney on July 23 1932, to the late William and Bertha (Johnston) Charles.

She married her late husband James Cramer on July 11, 1965.

She worked at Paris Cleaners in DuBois as well as a homemaker.

Dottie was a caring a loving person who always thought of others. She was a card and the life of the party with an infectious smile and laugh. She was stubborn and strong-willed and never gave up on anything. You never knew what she was up to, but it always ended up as a story fit for the Lucy Ball show. She was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers and would always listen to the game on one floor and then fly down the stairs to see the replay of the score.

Dottie loved to decorate and cook for the holidays. Her glazed ham became famous amongst family and friends and will be as missed as her.

In her later years she and her late husband Jim loved to take bus trips to the casinos and made numerous friends.

Dottie is survived by her daughter Louann (John) Dill and grand-daughter Jessica (Dan) Gresock both of Reynoldsville as well as her grand pup Harley and Boston.

No viewing or funeral will be held but a celebration of life will be held at an undetermined date.  Arrangements entrusted to Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Big Run.

Donations can be made to the Dementia Society of America to help with education and research on vascular dementia
