Donald T. “Dusty” Lunger, 67, of Punxsutawney, passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2024, at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.
He was born in Spangler, Cambria County on January 31, 1957, a son of Barbara (Lydic) Lunger and the late Donald W. Lunger. His mother survives and resides in Rossiter.
Don was a 1975 graduate of Jeff Tech, specializing in computer programming.
He worked as a truck driver for many years for Arrow Trucking and Anderson Trucking for thirty-one years. In recent years he has enjoyed driving for Health Ride.
“Dusty” had a great personality, he was laid back and very funny, it has been said that he had some “Johnny Bull” in him. In addition to his fun demeanor, he was very caring and always put others ahead of himself. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
In addition to his mother, Barbara Lunger, he is survived by one daughter, Kristin Kathleen Reynolds; one sister, Shirley Ebersole of Johnsonburg; two nephews, Jonathan (Tammy) Sprankle and Donald Sprankle; great nephew, Kaden Sprankle, great niece, Samantha Sprankle.
Preceded in death by his father, Donald W. Lunger and one sister, Judy Sprankle.
In accordance with his wishes, there will be no viewing or visitation. Arrangements entrusted to Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Punxsutawney.
