Diana K. Maruca, 88 of Anita went to be with the Lord on Wednesday,
April 16, 2025, while at home in the presence of loving family members.
She was born April 14, 1937 in Punxsutawney, a daughter of Arthur Allen
and Rose Louise (Pisano) Kephart.
She married Caesar Ted Maruca on November 8, 1958, who preceded her in
death on October 18,1987. They were blessed with seven children.
Diana was a woman of deep faith and devotion to God. She was a long-time
member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Anita, where she taught
Catechism classes and helped take care of the church. She and her beloved
husband got their children to church, taught them right from wrong, and
made them feel loved every single day.
Diana was very industrious, working at Sanitary Dairy and J.C. Penney's
in Punxsutawney during high school, and at Bell Telephone after graduation.
While raising her children she found time to volunteer for PTA, Little League
concessions stands, and Boy Scouts, and supported her husband greatly while
he was a member of Punxsutawney School Board. Later in life, she worked at
Blose McGregor(now Mulberry Square) then worked many years at Punxsutawney
Area Hospital scheduling for the Operating Room, where she touched many lives
as she comforted them on their way to surgery. She possessed a warm, caring,
friendly personality that everyone she worked with just loved being around.
Diana was the absolute best wife and mother, loving her family more than
words can describe. She cherished her calling as Mother, considering it her
starring role. Her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren were her
treasures, whose lives she made sparkle with beauty and love.
Diana enjoyed gardening, playing cards, watching golf, and being a
cheerleader in high school. Her whole life she sacrificed her own wants and
needs to take care of her family and community, and she made everyone she met
feel cared for and special. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her children, Christopher John (Karen) Maruca of the
Virgin Islands, Susan Diana Enterline of Coolspring, Nancy Lee Maruca of
Punxsutawney, Michael Caesar Maruca, Betsy Ann Maruca, and
Thomas Patrick Maruca, all of Anita, and Elisa Rose (Jim) Bennett of Kersey,
five grandchildren, Chad Maruca, Elizabeth (Ty) Kepler, Caesar (Emily) Maruca,
Tyler (Nikki) Maruca, and Rylee Enterline, three great grandchildren,

Mary "Mimi" Weaver and Elissa Barker, and son-in-law Robert Enterline.Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. on Tuesday April 22, at Shumaker
