Deborah Susan Dubensky

Deborah “Debbie” Susan Dubensky, 59, of Punxsutawney (Formerly of Adrian) passed away on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at Punxsutawney Area Hospital.

She was born in DuBois on June 6, 1961, a daughter of the late Alexander Simon Dubensky and Mary Ellen (Zelman) Dubensky.

Debbie was a member of the S.S. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church.

She was a member of the Arc of Jefferson and Clearfield Counties.  Being a part of the organization brought her so much joy, she always enjoyed the friendships, the activities and special events that were scheduled.

Debbie loved to be with her brother and sister, especially when she went swimming at her brother’s house. She also enjoyed writing in her books, going shopping, playing Bingo, going out to eat and visiting the casino.  Polka music was a favorite from the time she was young. 

She is survived by a sister, Marie Elkin and husband John of Delancey, one brother, Steven Dubensky and wife Melissa of Punxsutawney; four nieces, one great niece and five great nephews.

Preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.

A limited number of friends will be received from 1-3 p.m. on Monday, December 21, 2020 at Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Punxsutawney. A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m., officiated by Father Vasyl Kadar.

Interment will be at S.S. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Cemetery.
