Albert “Dean” Park of Brookville, PA passed away on May 27, 2024. He was born on March 6, 1948 to Levi and Alberta (Brosius) Park and grew up on their family farm. He was a member of the Brookville
Area High School Class of 1966. After graduation, he joined the Air Force and served his country for four years. In 1969, Dean married the love of his life, the former Debby Knapp. Together they raised three children, Andy, Mindy and Melanie, and made their home in the community of Stanton. He was a loving father and grandfather, affectionately known as “Poppy.”
Dean was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers: Bob, Don, Dick and Bill. He was also preceded by his beautiful daughter Mindy, with whom he shared a birthday.
Dean is survived by his wife of fifty-five years, Debby; his son Andy (Jessica) and their children Zane (Michelle) Hackett, Audrey Park and Grace Park; his son-in-law Terry Bowser and children Taylor (Andrew) Godlewski, Lexie Bowser and Kasey Bowser; and his daughter Melanie (Christopher) Bedner and children Blaine Hemphill, Luke Hemphill, Olivia Berry and Wyatt Berry. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren: Bentley Bowser, Hadlee Bowser and Remi Godlewski.
Funeral arrangements are private. There will be a celebration of life at a later date. Those wishing to honor Dean’s memory should direct contributions to the charity of their choice.
