David Lyons Obituary

David Wayne Lyons, 60, of Greensburg, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 18, 2021, at Westmoreland Hospital in Greensburg.

He was born in Pittsburgh on August 17, 1961, a son of Beverly Lyons and the late Donald Dean Lyons. His mother survives and resides in Rochester Mills.

David was self employed in parting out Cub Cadet tractor parts through EBAY and internet sales.  He had previously worked in a window factory in Cheswick.

He loved everything tractor, he especially liked the International Harvester, Farmall and Cub Cadet to name a few.  He participated at the Tractor pulls in the Westmoreland County area with his tractor and won a few trophies over the years.

David was an avid college football and Steelers fan.  He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.

In addition to his mother Beverly, he is survived by one brother, Michael Lyons and wife Tammy of Avonmore; one sister, Brenda Gornik and husband Gene of Trafford; one niece, Amelia DeLeonibus and husband Brian; one nephew, Bradley Lyons.

Friends will be received from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Monday, November 22, 2021, at Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Punxsutawney.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor Rob van Fossen.

Interment will follow at Round Top Cemetery, Indiana County.
