Darlene Ann Milliron, 79, of Punxsutawney, passed away unexpectedly at home on February 3, 2026.
She was born in Punxsutawney on February 16, 1946, a daughter of the late Daniel Johnson and Ruth Sally (Brown) Johnson.
On August 23, 1963, she married Dallas Shields Milliron Jr. They were inseparable for sixty-two years and endured the ups and downs of life together.
Darlene worked at the Punxsutawney Country Club for several years; she cooked and managed the kitchen. She was a hard worker and was very proud of the job well done, she enjoyed her co-workers, and the members and guests of the club.
She was a great mother whose love showed in everything she did for her family. With a warm sense of humor and a kind, gentle heart, she had a way of making everyone feel loved and understood. She loved to crochet, especially for her family. Whether she was sharing a joke, offering a helping hand, or quietly doing what needed done, she was the steady strength and loving soul that held her family together.
In addition to her husband Dallas, she is survived by four children, Diane McBride of Clearfield, Denise (Kevin) Snyder of Eighty Four, Darin Milliron of Punxsutawney and Dallas “Butchie” (Lara) Milliron, III; six grandchildren, Kayla (Dave) Delallo of McMurray, Courtney Snyder of Eighty Four, Dallas “Bub” Milliron IV of Punxsutawney, Noah Milliron of Dallas, Austin Little of Valier, Amber (fiancé Dustin Yarger) Little of Smicksburg, three great grandchildren, Jack, Dawson and Louisa Delallo of McMurray; two sisters, Donna (Dick) Lorelli of Anita and Debbie (Bob) Means of Oliveburg.
Preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Danny Johnson and David Johnson; son in-law, Ryan McBride.
Arrangements are private and under the direction of Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Punxsutawney.
