Dana Jeannine Brooks

Dana Jeannine Brooks passed away on Friday, September 13, 2024, at home, surrounded by family and the rescue cats she loved so much.

She was born on September 23, 1976, a daughter of the late Daniel Zurenda and the second youngest of eleven children. 

Dana spent as much of her life as possible traveling the world. She was a free spirit who enjoyed photographing these experiences for memories and leaving her mark on the world.

Dana is survived by her husband of 24 years, Tom Brooks, as well as her three children Victoria Freedline, Cherokee Brooks, and Jade Brooks. She is preceded in death by her father and older sisters.

Dana loved to laugh, craft, and spend time with her loved ones. She was passionate about animals and nature, seeking to leave the world a better place than when she arrived in it. Dana never hesitated to tell people exactly what was on her mind regardless of what they may think of her afterwards. She will be missed desperately and though of constantly by those who had the pleasure of knowing her."
