Consetta Lucille Esposito, 102, of Punxsutawney, passed away on Sunday, July 28, 2024, at home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Punxsutawney on April 07, 1922, a daughter of the late Carmen Ferra and Carmella (Cappella) Ferra.

On October 16, 1944, she married the love of her life, Emilio “Curly” Esposito, together they enjoyed forty-eight years of marriage.  He preceded her in death on January 22, 1993.

Consetta began her working career at the Five and Ten Department Store, she worked in the office at American Automobile Manufacturer in Detroit, Michigan, and retired from Sportswear, however, she went on from there to be the owner/operator of Punxsy Video for many years.

She was the most loving, caring, kindhearted person. She never had a bad word to say about anyone and those who knew her loved her.  Her door was always open to everyone.

She was well known for her meatballs. On Sundays, she would make no less than one hundred meatballs and there was always an extra plate for anyone who stopped by.

In her retirement years, she enjoyed extensive traveling throughout the states to include Hawaii.  Her family was the most enjoyable part of her life.  She was able to experience births, graduations, weddings, and many other milestones throughout her one hundred and two years.

Surviving relatives include four children, Carmella (Kevin) Prendergast of Connecticut, Patricia Perry of Punxsutawney, Amelia McGuire of Connecticut, and Frank Esposito of Punxsutawney; nine grandchildren, Jim Beard, Cathy English, Brian Prendergast, Tiger Perry, Tami Barnett, Jim McGuire, Justin McGuire, Lydia Hackworth, and Connie Canales; thirteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; one brother, Donald Ferra of Florida.
