Claribelle Larue “Shorty” Bish, 92, of Glen Campbell, passed away on Saturday, September 9, 2023, at the home of her niece, Dana Mosier.
Ms. Bish was born in Porter Township, on February 08, 1931, a daughter of the late J. Frank Bish and Margaret C. (Justice) Bish. She was the last member of her immediate family.
Claribelle worked for many years at Murata Erie in State College.
Her enjoyments were being outside and spending the day fishing.
She was an avid Penn State Football fan and liked to watch the Steelers and Pirates play.
She is survived by a niece who was also her caretaker, Dana Mosier and fiancé Doug Kramer of Anita and other several nieces and nephews; one brother in-law Dan Mosier of Anita; one sister in-law, Helga Bish of Maryland.
Preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Howard, Clyde and Eugene Bish; infant brother, Jesse Bish; two sisters, Louise Rowse and Beverley Mosier.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Friday, September 15, 2023, at Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Punxsutawney.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. at the funeral home officiated by Pastor Janet Chiplis.
Interment will follow at Zion Cemetery, Porter Township.
