Cheryl Diane Blair, 79, of Punxsutawney, passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at Penn Highlands DuBois, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Brookville on February 20, 1946, the daughter of the late Merle Willard Boyer and Wanda Lee (McDonald) Boyer.
On August 11, 1979, she married Robert Bryce “Rocky” Blair. They enjoyed thirty-three years of marriage together, prior to his death on October 4, 2012.
Cheryl enjoyed taking art lessons and creating artwork. She loved children and enjoyed hosting Fresh Air Kids each summer and opened her home to many foster children over the years. She enjoyed watching the birds, playing computer games, listening to Adele and Neil Diamond. She especially enjoyed her visits from her great granddaughter Sienna.
She is survived by five children, Michael Rogowski of Scranton, Bobby (Heather Brocious) Blair of Punxsutawney, Karen (Neil) Robinson of Tunkhannock, Chris (Vince) Gigliotti of Punxsutawney and Missy (Wayne) Young of Punxsutawney; eight grandchildren, Kim Lee, Thomas Robinson, Vicki Robinson, Lakyn Watkins, Sara (Dereck) Wolfe, Devan Riggie, Shawna Gigliotti, and Samantha Rogowski; seven great grandchildren, Eli and Alex Robinson, Brayden Riggie, Addison Rettberg, Wyatt Wolfe, Sienna Watkins and Ledger Wolfe.
Preceded in death by her parents, husband Rocky, grandson, Adam Travis, two brothers, Harry M. Boyer and Theodore Boyer.
Friends will be received from 1-3 p.m. and from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Punxsutawney.
A funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Interment will take place at Vandervort Cemetery, Summerville.
Memorial donations may be made the American Diabetes foundation in memory of her husband Rocky.
