Cathy Joan Siple-Harris, 57, of Punxsutawney, passed away unexpectedly at home Sunday, August 21, 2022.
She was born in DuBois September 04, 1964, the only daughter of Thomas Leroy Siple and Betty Joan (Peace) Siple.
Cathy was a 1982 graduate of Punxsutawney Area High School.
Cathy was an amazing hard-working woman that held a full-time job at DuBois Logistics, while also working part-time at the Sykesville Eagles for many years. She enjoyed her co-workers and patrons.
Her children were the most important thing in her life. She was loving, steadfast and a solid lifeline they could always count on. She was looking forward to attending the upcoming Elton John concert with her daughter, and she always looked forward to spending time at home with her son and sharing some laughs. Cathy was very supportive of her brother, Duane, during his illness and decline. In her downtime, she enjoyed diving into True Crime cases and always had Oxygen or ID on T.V.
She also enjoyed crafting, reading, talking to friends and anything Steelers related.
Her favorite color was red and she loved Brown-eyed Susans.
Cathy is survived by two children, Amy Harris and fiancé Chris Getz of Johnstown, and Kevin Harris of Punxsutawney; her mother Betty Siple of Punxsutawney; one brother, James Siple; Nephews: Zachary and Brock Siple; and Nieces: Autumn and Ashley Siple.
She is preceded in death by her father, Thomas Siple; brother, Duane Siple; Maternal grandparents: Grover and Vada Peace; and Paternal Grandparents: Robert and Betty Siple.
She was an anchor to her family and she will forever be missed.
Arrangements are private and under the direction of Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Punxsutawney.
