Carol Sue Lettie

Carol Sue Lettie, 77, of Punxsutawney, passed away at home on December 25, 2022.

She was born in Indiana on October 04, 1945, a daughter of the late James Harrison Coon and June Louise (Vanhorn) Coon.

Ms. Lettie worked in customer service in retailing for most of her life.

She attended the Valier United Methodist Church and was happy to lend a hand in anything that needed done.  Carol was selfless and giving.  You never left her house hungry or without a drink in your hand.  She loved to bake and cook and often shared her treats with her neighbors.

Spending time with her son and daughter in-law, grandchildren, sister, nieces, and nephews brought her the most joy.

She loved to garden, collect angels and watching for Cardinals which reminded her of her son Mark.

Surviving relatives include one son, Richard Lettie and wife Jacqueline of Garden City, Michigan; four grandchildren, Ashton Marie Harling-Pillsbury, Karissa Richelle Harling-Lettie, Casey James Lettie-Walker and Emily Heather Lettie-Walker; two great grandchildren, Aspen Sophia Pillsbury and Mack Owen Pillsbury; one sister, Cynthia Miller and husband Richard of Punxsutawney; one brother, William Coon and wife Carol of Gaines, PA.

Preceded in death by her parents; one son Mark Lettie; three brothers, Robert, Ronald and Allan Coon; one sister, Margaret (Coon) Stitler-Orr.

In accordance to her wishes there will be no visitation.  Arrangements entrusted to Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Punxsutawney.
