Carol Diane Gasker, 77, of Punxsutawney, passed away on Friday, July 5, 2024, all Allegheny General Hospital.
She was born in Punxsutawney on May 21, 1947, a daughter of the late Claude Storms and Margaret (Lingenfelter) Storms.
On June 9, 1968, she married Bernard Franklin Gasker,Sr. They enjoyed fifty-six years together and always took care of one another.
Carol was a member of the Salvation Army and attended the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was previously a Sunday School Teacher and loved to work with the children.
She enjoyed coloring, drawing, dancing and spending time with her family. She will be remembered as “good person all the way around”
In addition to her husband Bernard, she is survived by two children, Tammy Spiers and Bernard Franklin Gasker, Jr., five grandchildren, Joshua, Jeremy and Karissa Spiers and Caleb and Hannah Young; and four great grandchildren, Chloe, Chad and Candice Spiers, and Lily Rooney; and one brother, Timothy Storms.
Preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Sandra Lynch and Claudette Storms.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Friday, July 12, 2024, at Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Punxsutawney.
Interment will be at Circle Hill Cemetery.
