Carmen Gallina Obituary

Carmen “Clint” Clinton Gallina, 79, of Valier passed away May 9, 2026 at the Dubois Nursing Home.

He was born on May 11, 1946, a son of the late Carmen “Kelly” Pete Gallina and Mary Louise (Kaylor) Gallina.

Mr. Gallina was a graduate of the Punxsutawney Area High School.

Clint faithfully served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War as a helicopter mechanic.

On March 25, 1968 he married his sweetheart, Anne Louise (Lantz) Gallina, who survives. They cherished over 58 years of marriage together, and were truly best friends.

He operated heavy equipment for the Doverspike Mining Company, and later retired from the Punxsutawney Area School District as part of the maintenance staff.

Carmen was a proud member of the American Legion and the Perry Township Volunteer Fire Company. He was always willing to lend a helping hand, volunteering wherever and whenever he was needed. Whether shoveling snow, plowing driveways, or helping put roofs on for others, Clint was known throughout the community for his kindness, generosity, and willingness to help anyone in need.

Mr. Gallina loved his family deeply and cherished the life he built with Anne. He was a devoted husband, a loving father and grandfather, and above all, a genuinely good man who will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Carmen and Mary Gallina, and sisters; Loretta Gallina and Mary Gallina.

He is survived by his loving wife Anne Gallina, daughters; Kathleen (James) Cameron of Oliveburg, Tammy (Arnold) Charles of Valier, Kristeen (Glenn) Grove of Valier, son; Kearney “K.C.” (Melissa) Gallina of Anita, grandchildren; Kayla (Leroy) Cameron, Derek Cameron, Malinda Charles, Kelly (Greg) Setree, Heather (Joel) Bowers, Brooke (Austin Lowe) Grove, Isabella (Garrett) Zimmerman, and Meredith Gallina, and 14 great-grandchildren.
