Arnold C Bowers

Arnold Clair Bowers, 79, of Mayport, passed away January 7, 2023 at his home.

He was born on January 30, 1943 in Big Run, the son of the late Lorren E. and Cora M. (Pearce) Bowers. On June 12, 1964 he married Margaret (McAninch) Bowers, who survives.

Retired, Arnold worked as a diesel mechanic for Penn Dot for 33+ years. He was a member of the Punxsutawney Eagles and the Walston Club. He enjoyed his John Deere tractors, tinkering on different projects and watching all the wildlife animals around his home. But above all, he loved spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren.

Arnold is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Margaret Bowers; three children: Julie Ruth and her husband Randall of DuBois, Jeffrey Bowers and his wife Tammy of Mayport and Jennifer Bowers of Brockway; five grandchildren: Daisy Ruth, Brock Ruth, Jesse Kilcoin, Cora Kilcoin and Kylie Bowers; and a brother, Terry Bowers and his wife Linda of Punxsutawney.

In addition to his parents, Arnold was preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn Stahlman.

At the wishes of the family services are private. Burial will be in Circle Hill Cemetery.
