Anthony “Tony” Thomas Agnello, 69, of Rochester Mills, passed away at home on Wednesday, May 17, 2023.
He was born in DuBois on March 7, 1954, a son of Joseph Agnello and the late Clara Louise (Perkowski) Agnello. His father survives and resides in DuBois.
Tony worked as a dozer and heavy equipment operator. He was a great dozer operator and once moved barn stones and built an awesome “tree house.” He loved being outside and logging in the woods, he recently stated that he had put his chain saw down for the last time and that he really missed that. He found working on autobody on cars relaxing and was meticulous in his work.
He liked to spend time with his companion of many years, Tammy Wadrose, as well as his family and friends.
In addition to his father Joe, and Tammy, he is survived by one daughter, Brandi Spence of Sykesville; two grandchildren, Paul and Emily Spence; one brother, Joseph “Joe-Joe” Agnello of DuBois; Tammy’s daughters, who loved him, Nikita Witherow of Huntsville, Alabama and Nicole (Oscar) Martinez or Birmingham, Alabama.
He is preceded in death by his mother Clara, two sisters, Rosemary (Agnello) White and Theresa Guinen; one brother, Phillip Michael Agnello.
There will be no viewing. Friends will be received from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, May 21, 2023, at Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Punxsutawney.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. at the funeral home, officiated by Monsignor Riccardo.
