Angeline (Walker) Siple Obituary

Angeline (Walker) Siple, 90, formerly of Falls Creek, passed away on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at Christ the King Manor.

She was born at home in her grandmother’s house in Sykesville on August 23, 1935, the daughter of the late Michael A. Grasso and Helen (Orsich) Grasso.

Angeline was a member of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church in Sykesville.

On November 9, 2002, she married Robert Frank Siple.  He preceded her in death on November 10, 2023.

Angeline worked as a cook at Silver Front Restaurant and over twenty years at Christ the King Manor.

Actively involved with her community, she was a member of Sykesville American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Chairwoman for the Eighth-grade student awards and the 50/50 Club in Luthersburg.  She always made it a point to visit the elderly and shut ins.

When not serving others, she enjoyed birdwatching, going hunting and fishing, embroidery, reading and going for walks. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by four children, Robert Dale (Otillia) Walker of Canyon Lake, Texas, David Andrew Walker of Sykesville, John Michael Walker of Troutville and Connie Ann Walker of Reynoldsville; ten grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren, three great-great grandchild; one brother Michael (Darlene) Grasso of Stump Creek and one sister, Elizabeth Anderson of DuBois.

Preceded in death by her parents, husband, one grandson, Blaine Kauffman; a brothers Nick “Butch” Grasso and a sister, Frances Algier.

In accordance with her wishes, there will be no viewing.  Arrangements entrusted to Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Big Run.

Her ashes will be interred at the Assumption of Blessed Virgin Mary Cemetery.
