Andrew “Andy” James Verostic, 56, of Coolspring, passed away at home on January 07, 2024.
He was born in Maynard, Massachusetts on July 15, 1968, the son of the late Andrew Joseph Verostic and Patricia Mae (Sikora) Verostic.
On May 2, 1992, he married his best friend, Eryn Leigh Fisher. She was his steadfast supporter who stood by his side through every joy and challenge over the years.
He was a huge sports fan of all the Pittsburgh teams, including the Penguins, the Steelers and the Pirates, and he was a diehard Boston Celtics fan. He always found enjoyment in the energy of a game day, cheering them on, and armchair coaching from home.
In addition to his wife Eryn, he is survived by two sons, A.J. Verostic and Cody Verostic, both of whom reside in Coolspring; one grandson, Braxton; one sister, Leslie (Randy) Weigand of Pittsburgh; three nephews, Rick, Chris and Timmy; one niece, Kaylee.
Preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Denise Sowers.
Arrangement are private and have been entrusted to Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Punxsutawney.
