Alan Jeffrey “Jeff” Miller, 62, of Punxsutawney, passed away on Monday, March 17, 2025, at West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh.
He was born on January 11, 1963, in Punxsutawney, the son of the late Raymond Elmer Miller and Eleanor June (Kennedy) Miller.
Jeff was a 1981 graduate of Punxsutawney Area High School.
On February 14, 2002, he married Jacqueline “Jackie” Marie Peace. Together they enjoyed twenty-three years of marriage. They had many good years of companionship, laughter, and wonderful memories.
He worked at the Punxsutawney Borough Public Works Department, he had also previously worked at the Big Run Sewage plant. Jeff was known for his unwavering work ethic, he loved to work and took great pride in a job well done.
Beyond his dedication to work, he had a deep love for music. Previously playing guitar and singing alongside his beloved sister Deb Frye brought him so much joy, now he is in Heaven singing with her. Their harmonies filled many gatherings with warmth and laughter, leaving cherished memories for all who had the pleasure of listening.j
In his younger years, Jeff shared his passion for wrestling by coaching his nephew, JB Frye and teammates. His patience, encouragement and determination shaped lessons that extended far beyond the mat.
Jeff left so much good with all that had the pleasure of knowing him, he will be dearly missed by many.
In addition to his wife Jackie, he is survived by a stepson, Bud Carlson of Punxsutawney; a nephew, J.B. Frye and wife Samantha of Punxsutawney; a great nephew, Brady; and a grand puppy, Lucy.
Preceded in death by his parents and beloved sister, Debra Frye.
In accordance with his wishes, there will be no viewing. Arrangements entrusted to Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Punxsutawney.
