Ronald E. "Auger" Seger

Ronald Eugene "Auger" Seger, 66, of Rossiter, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, December 19, 2017.

He was born in Punxsutawney, a son of the late Dale "Frog" and LaVonne (Lynch) Seger.

Mr. Seger was a United States Army Veteran having served  in Germany during the Vietnam War.

On June 30, 1973 he married his sweet heart Cindy Lynn Sutter.  She survives and resides in Rossiter.

"Auger " retired from P&N Coal Company after working thirty four years as a heavy equipment operator.  He was a hardworking man and a great provider for his family.

His family was everything to him, and he loved them above all else. He loved to spend time with laughing and joking, he especially enjoyed watching the Steelers football game surrounded by his wife, children and grandchildren.

He loved to spend hours in the garden and maintaining an immaculate yard.  "Auger" always took great pride in pristine vehicle and could make a car shine like no other.

Although his illness was tough, he was a fighter and he always managed to joke and make light of the situation, as if to comfort those who surrounded him.

In addition to his wife Cindy, he is survived by three children, Bethany Berringer and husband Michael of Rossiter, Kelly McDonald and husband David of Punxsutawney and Michael Seger and wife Danielle of Punxsutawney; eight grandchildren, Kyler Berringer, Raeann, Cheyenne, Shayleah and Rylan McDonald, Baylee, Kendal and Dysen Seger; one great grandson, Jaxson Sharp.

At "Augers" request there will be no public viewing or visitation.  A private family service will be held.

Interment will be at Union Hill Cemetery, Rossiter.  Military honors will be accorded by the Rossiter American Legion.

Memorial donations may be made to Punxsutawney Area Hospital Cancer Center, where he received wonderful care and compassion.
