Robert Leroy “Peabody” Bouch, 74, of Rossiter, passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at the VA Medical Center in Pittsburgh.
He was born at home on Lockvale Road, Rossiter on September 12, 1943, a son of the late Donald William and Virginia Rose (Spencer) Bouch.
Mr. Bouch was a United States Army Veteran serving in Germany during the Vietnam War.
On October 16, 1968 he married the former Susan Kay Bennett. She survives and resides in Rossiter.
Bob drove coal truck for Arcadia Coal and various other coal companies, he was known by the CB Radio handle “Peabody.”
He previously enjoyed hunting, and most recently he liked to watch Western movies on television. He was a simple man and liked to live a peaceful and unassuming life.
In addition to his wife Susan, he is survived by one daughter, Lori Shelp and husband Jim of Anita; three grandchildren, Andrew Shelp, Amber Shelp and Cole Brooks.
Preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Marcy Brooks, and a brother, Donald William Bouch.
There will be no visitation. Arrangements entrusted to Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Punxsutawney.
His ashes will be interred at Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Gaskill Twp., Jefferson County.
