Philip Edward “Ed” Strawcutter, 54, of Delancey, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, May 21, 2018.
He was born on March 26, 1964, a son of the late Dolores May (Pierce) Strawcutter and Philip Eugene Strawcutter, who survives.
Ed was a gentle natured man that was an electronic mastermind. He enjoyed the challenge of fixing televisions, radios, music soundboards and anything electronic. For many years he ran the sound for local bands from 1990 through 2015 era, a friend stated “he had a special talent for taking guys that sounded “ok” and making them sound like a class A rocking band.”
Recently he could be found helping his brother Rob at Strawcutter’s Auto Repair. He was always just a phone call away from Rob, and he enjoyed spending time solving automobile problems and getting his hands dirty.
In addition to his father, Phil Strawcutter and wife Janet of Punxsutawney, he is survived by four siblings, Rick Strawcutter and Heather Fenstermaker Hudson of Saylorsburg, Rob Strawcutter and wife Janie of Punxsutawney, Tammy Miles and husband Kurt of Palmerton, and Missy Gottfried of Bowmanstown; numerous nieces and nephews; his girlfriend Lynne Steel and her family.
Preceded in death by his mother, Dolores.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday, May 24, 2018 at Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Punxsutawney.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
