Kenneth Huey “Driller” Gray, 82, of Punxsutawney, passed away Friday, June 08, 2018 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital.
He was born on March 5, 1936 in Valencia, a son of the late Frank and Alda A. (Huey) Gray.
On December 23, 1957 he married the former Louella Cary. She preceded him in death in 1972. He later married Betty (Wolfgang) Sutter, she also precedes him in death.
For the last eighteen years he has made his home with his sweetheart, Becky Shearer, she survives and resides in DuBois.
Ken “Driller” worked for Hepburnia Coal Company on the strip jobs for many years. He later worked for Kuntz Motors, running for parts.
He was a good man, had a sense of humor and enjoyed joking with people. His enjoyments were previously hunting and fishing, and as of lately watching Westerns on television.
In addition to Becky, he is survived by three children, Debbie London of Punxsutawney, Dan Gray and wife Robin of Juneau, and Corey Gray and wife Jodi of Rossiter; nine grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild on the way; Becky’s children, Lillian Aikens of DuBois, who helped care him, Maceo Ehause, Ronald Ehause and Roberta Fisher.
Preceded in death by his wives, Louella and Betty, a son, Chris Gray; two brothers, Donald and Olen Gray, one sister, Zetta Jane Newcome.
Friends will be received from 11-1 p.m. Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Punxsutawney.
A Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
Interment will follow at Lakelawn Memorial Park, Reynoldsville.
