Kathy Marlene Gomola

Kathy Marlene Gomola, 62, of Punxsutawney, passed away Thursday, January 04, 2018 at Punxsutawney Area Hospital.

She was born in DuBois, a daughter of the late Ralph R. and Lillie Mary (Shields  ) Pearce.

Kathy worked as a caregiver to many people over the years, recently retiring and enjoying being with her grandchildren and family.

Survived by three children, Thomas Gomola and wife Nicole, Jennifer Lloyd, and Sherry Gomola, all of Punxsutawney; thirteen grandchildren, Nova, Odessa, Kage, Shannon, Stephen, Brady, Sade, Madison, Payr, Bryce, Kord, Kane and Harper; one great grandchild, Grayson; six sisters, Mary Rhoades of Tyler, Jolene Fleming of Rossiter, Molly Huber of Cherry Tree, Patty Craft of Punxsutawney, Charlotte Holway of Colorado and Wanda Huey of Rossiter; three brothers, Ralph Pearce Jr. and wife Sue of Maine, Milton Pearce and wife Janice of Montana and William Mark Pearce and wife Donna of Rossiter.

Preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Lenny Pearce.

There will be no viewing, however, friends will be received from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Punxsutawney.  A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor Carole Bergman.
