Gail Anne Winter

Gail Ann Winter, 66, of Sykesville, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, May 22, 2018.

She was born July 12, 1951 in Massilon, Ohio, the daughter of the late William Anthony and Alice M. (Cecil )Vittling.

On December 20, 1993 she became the wife of William Joseph Winter.  He survives and resides in Sykesville.

Gail was an EMT and she worked for Sykesville Ambulance from 1999-2015.  She loved working with the crew and helping others in need.

Her enjoyments were cross word puzzles and browsing on her tablet.

In addition to her husband Bill, she is survived three daughters, Elaine (Bill) Chewning of Strasburg, OH, Traci Winter and Kevin Roof of East Sparta, OH, Ronni (Brad) Hadden of Boliver, OH, two sons, William “Joe” Winter Jr and Laura Bittaker of Delroy, OH and Daryl (Donna) Winter of Willoughby, OH; eight grandchildren, three great grandchildren; two sisters, Frances Vittling of Sharrodsville, OH and Sally Lindsey of Ashville, SC.

As per her wishes there will be no visitation.  Arrangements entrusted to Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Big Run.

A private graveside service will be held at Sharrodsville Memorial Gardens, where her ashes will be interred.
