Eric Eugene Smith

Eric Eugene Smith, 52, of Ringgold, passed away peacefully at home on November 25, 2018.

He was born December 27, 1965, a son of Ronald Gordon and Irene Jeanette (Chiplis) Smith of Glen Campbell.

Eric was a 1983 graduate of Punxsutawney Area High School.  He attended ICM School of Business in Pittsburgh.

He worked as a meat cutter at County Market, and later at the Ringgold Greenhouse.

Eric attended the Smithport United Methodist Church and also the Ringgold United Methodist Church.

His enjoyments traveling, going canoeing at Cooks Forest, watching movies, listening to music and playing volleyball.

He loved his family and particularly enjoyed teasing with his mother.

In addition to his parents, Ron and Irene, he is survived by two brothers, Bruce G. Smith and wife Cora of Mahaffey, Bryon D. Smith and wife Jenny of Glen Campbell; nieces and nephews, Sara Weaver, Kyle D. Smith, Sophia I. Smith, Austin D. Smith and Dillon M. Smith.

There will be no viewing or visitation.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Punxsutawney.

Interment will be at Burnside Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made in Eric’s memory to the Smithport United Methodist Church, Glen Campbell.
