Edith “Dee” Delores Reagle, 75, of Big Run passed away quietly at the Punxsutawney Area Hospital on Tuesday, August 8, 2017.  Dee was born on August 20, 1941in Glen Campbell to the late Jesse Theodore and Bertha Bell (Shields) Lydic.  Dee married the late Theodore Dale Reagle on July 31, 1965.  Theodore preceded her in death on October 22, 1993.

During her lifetime, Dee worked at Lorre Footwear in Big Run, Ideal Products in Sykesville, and Sportswear in Punxsutawney.  Dee attended the First Christian Church in Big Run, liked to quilt, and enjoyed traveling with her family. To Dee, “It was all about family”; especially her grandchildren whom were the light of her life.   Dee was a pleasant, likeable woman who will be sorely missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing and loving her.  She will also be missed by her four-legged companion … her cat “Baxter”.  The two were inseparable.  

Dee is survived by her two children, Peggy Sue Ianaro and Lawrence Ross of Pittsburgh and Theodore Dale Reagle, Jr and wife Jenn of Big Run.  Surviving sisters are Barbara Lunger and husband Donald of Rossiter and Jesse Hickox of Florida.  Dee’s five grandchildren are, Jennifer Rose and Glenn Ianaro, Kara Nicole Reagle, James Christian, and Madison Ross.  Her great-grandchildren are Giovanna Rose Chambers and Cora Christian.

In addition to her husband, Theodore and her parents, Jesse and Bertha Lydic, Dee was preceded in death by her brothers, Arthur and Alvie Lydic; and infant siblings, Esther, Arnold “Sonny”, and Lillian Lydic.

Friends will be received at the Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., of Big Run from 1 – 4 p.m. on Saturday, August 12, 2017.  A funeral service will be held immediately afterwards at 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Andy Cressman officiating.

Interment will be at Lakelawn Cemetery in Reynoldsville, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Dee’s memory can be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
