Daniel Hendricks

Daniel Hendricks, 72, formerly of Punxsutawney, died on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Wyant Woods Care Center in Fairlawn, OH.

He was born on May 14, 1945 in Philipsburg, PA, a son of the late Henry Oliver and Willetta Ruth (Strawbridge) Hendricks.

Daniel’s life was not an easy one, as he was born with Cerebral Palsy and faced many challenges and struggles.  In spite of his difficulties, he was dearly loved by his family.  He previously enjoyed fishing, playing pinball, and most recently liked to watch John Wayne movies on television.  His biggest enjoyment was eating candy bars.

He is survived by one sister, Nancy Delisle of Beaver, one brother, David Hendricks of State College, numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, James, John, Donald and Thomas Hendricks, and a sister, Carol Liberty.

A private graveside will be held at the convenience of the family.

His ashes will be interred next to his parents at Morningside Cemetery, DuBois, PA.
