Charles Henry Watson

Charles Henry Watson, 73 of Punxsutawney passed away at his home on Thursday April 26, 2018. He was born on August 28,1944 in Markle, Pa. Charles is a son of the late Harold and Arthea (Rita) Beers Watson.  He married Pamela (Groleau) Watson on January 19,2018.

Chuck loved the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, gardening, and feeding the wildlife. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, Penn State and Steeler football. He was also a Pittsburgh Penguins fan.  He loved to go to yard sales.  His greatest enjoyment came from spending time with his grandchildren.

Chuck was a US Army Veteran having served in Vietnam.  He was retired from the railroad and had worked for Conrail.  He was Methodist by faith.

Chuck is survived by his wife Pamela. He is also survived by his son Richard (Lindsay) Watson of Lower Burrell, a step-son Norman (Brandy Reiter) Swain of Punxsutawney, his step-daughters, Ruth Swain (Robert Sharp) of Anita and Jennifer Swain of Punxsutawney. Also surviving are grandchildren, Carter and Alexis Watson, Leland, Max, and Kam Swain, and Brayden and Mathew Sharp.  He is also survived by his brother Robert (Irene) Watson and a sister Cheryl Watson.

In addition to his parents Harold and Arthea Watson he was preceded in death by his brother James Watson.

Friends will be received at the Shumaker Funeral Home Inc. in Punxsutawney on Saturday, April 28,2018 from noon to 2:00pm and from 4:00 to 6:00pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home immediately afterwards beginning at 6:00pm with Pastor Doug Wolfe officiating.
