Charles Boozer

Charles Boozer, Jr., 91, of Punxsutawney, passed away on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at Punxsutawney Area Hospital.

He was born on July 28, 1926 in (Corbett Town) Timblin, a son of the late Charles and Mary Bertha (Myers) Boozer.

Mr. Boozer served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.

On May 09, 1953, he married Ruth Elizabeth Kunselman.  She preceded him in death.

He worked for many years as a Foreman for Geer Tree Service, followed by National Fuel.

Charles enjoyed spending time walking in the woods, fishing and hunting.

He is survived by one daughter, Avis Keener and husband John of Ringgold; One son, Gary Boozer and wife Kimberly of Rossiter; five grandchildren, Adam C. Boozer, Kyle E. Boozer, Brett M. Boozer, Jessica and Christopher Keener; one brother, Jerry Boozer and wife Rose of Greenville; and one sister, Mary Lou Anderson of DuBois.

Preceded in death by his wife Ruth, his parents, and one brother, Max Boozer.

Arrangements are private and entrusted to Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc, Punxsutawney.

He will be interred at Worthville Cemetery.
