Stella G. Lott, 94, of DuBois (formerly of Punxsutawney and Brookville) peacefully passed away on Friday, September 9, 2017 at the DuBois Nursing Home with her loving daughter Donna by her side.

She was born on April 05, 1923 to Norman and Gertrude (Wilshire) Matthews in St. Johns ewfoundland, Canada.

Stella was one of a kind!  She was magnetic.  Friends, family and strangers alike were drawn to her.  Stella had a knack for one-liners, they would leave you laughing for days.  She was the life of the party and always down for the next casino trip.  Despite never possessing a drivers license, her life took her around the world and she was always on the go.  While she will be greatly missed by those who knew her, she has left with us enough memories to last a lifetime.

She worked many years at the Smart Shop in Punxsutawney.

She is survived by three daughters, Alana Bell and husband James, Ashville, NC; Donna Keslar and husband John, Punxsutawney; Lynda Gernat, Oro Valley, AZ; five grandchildren, Eric Bell and wife Shelly, Summerville, NC; Gregory Bell, Charleston, SC; Heather Keslar Skane, Baltimore, MD; Bradley Gernat and wife Lauren, Alexandria, VA; Douglas Gernat and wife Jenn of Bumpass VA; seven great grandchildren, Morgan and Lauren Bell; Caison and Maddox Bell; Stella and Violet Skane and Jackson Gernat; sisters Ruth Biggnell, Ontario, Canada; and a sister Dollie Griffin, Lawrence, KS.

She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond P. Lott on November 18, 1982.  Ten brothers and sisters.

Services are private and will be held at the convenience of the family.  Arrangements entrusted in Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Punxsutawney.

"Thank you for being a friend...traveled down the road and back again."
