Richard Paul Reitz

Richard Paul Reitz, 60, of Altoona, passed away on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at home.

He was born on February 21, 1957 in DuBois, a son of the late James Lewis Reitz and Delores Jean (Bargerstock) Reitz Kuntz.

Richard previously worked as a cement finisher in North Carolina, the drilling rigs and later worked at the Salvation Army assisting youth.

His enjoyments were fishing, watching the Steelers and Nascar.  In his earlier years he was a magnificent artist that loved to draw..  He spoke fondly of his soft ball playing days of the past.

Richard has a great sense of humor and a very quick wit.

He is survived by three children, Tessa Ludwig and husband Daniel of Punxsutawney, Sonya Beatty and husband John of Mahaffey, and Keanan Reitz of Texas; four grandchildren; one brother, Ronald L. Reitz of Punxsutawney.

There will be no visitation.  Arrangements entrusted to Brenda D. Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Big Run.
