Mrs. Karen L. White, 65, of Punxsutawney, lost her battle after succumbing to a long and courageous fight with illness and passed away at the Punxsutawney Area Hospital surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, January 31, 2017.   Karen was born on December 03, 1951 in Meadville, PA, the only child of the late Cecil Wagner and Sara (Leonhard) Kiser.  On August 10, 1982, she married her best friend, Jeffery R. White.  Jeff survives and resides on the family farm in Punxsutawney where they made their home.

Karen and Jeff were inseparable and loved each other's company.  Together, they enjoyed working on their yard, tending to their home, and taking care of their animals.  The two were a couple paired in Heaven and were never far apart from one another.  Throughout Karen's tremendous fight, Jeff never left her side.  Karen and Jeff were best friends and soul mates.

In addition to being a loving wife, Karen was a loving mother and grandmother whose family meant so much to her.  Karen was a living angel and will be sadly missed by many who knew her.

As well as her husband Jeff, she is survived by two daughters, Candace Steinberg and fiancé Christopher Tomsey of Wilton Manors, FL, and Lori Cox and husband Junior of Clarks Mills, PA; two grandsons, Radek and Darian Cox.

In accordance to Karen's wishes there will be no visitation.  Arrangements are entrusted to Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Punxsutawney.

Memorial donations may be made in Mrs. White's memory to the American Lung Association, PO Box 7000, Albert Lea, MN 56007-8001
