Joanne Beeman Obituary

Joanne marie Beeman, 76, of Oliveburg, passed away on January 24, 2018 at Mulberry Square Eldercare in Punxsutawney.

She was born on June 11, 1941 in Lancaster, a daughter of the late Earl Blair and Dorothy "Josephine" (Brosius) Yeaney.

On March 04, 1995 she became the wife of Merle Reid Beeman.  He survives and resides in Oliveburg.

She and her husband Merle attended Stanton United Methodist Church.

Joanne worked as the Director of Dining Services at a nursing home facility near Pottsville, where she also met and worked with Merle.

Her enjoyments were cooking, reading and coloring adult coloring books.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two children, Scott Kunselman of Hamburg, and Vicki Haggerty of Hiawatha Lake, NJ; one grandson, William Haggerty of Washington, NJ; one brother, Brad Yeaney and wife Bonnie of Summerville; three sisters, Nancy Copenhaver of Oliveburg, Grace Freese and husband Thomas of Pittsburgh, and Gail Hoffman and husband Edwin of Summerville.

Preceded in death by her parents.

A private funeral service was held at Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., in Punxsutawney.

Interment followed at Cliff Cemetery, Summerville.

Memorial donations may be made in Joanne's memory to the Stanton United Methodist Church or to Merle to defray the accumulated medical expenses from Joanne's illness.
