Jeffrey Scott Stankewich

Jeffrey Scott Stankewich, 54 of Indiana passed away suddenly at his home on Tuesday, November 29, 2016.  Jeffrey was born in Jeannette, PA on January 27, 1962, a son of Henry George and Darlene Jean (Berlin) Stankewich.  Both parents survive and reside in Homer City, PA.  
Jeffrey was a 1980 graduate of Punxsutawney Area High School, was self-employed as a painter, and a member of both the Walston Club and the Moose Club in Punxsutawney.  In his spare time, Jeffrey enjoyed hunting and watching sports. He was also a Jeopardy enthusiast and was particularly good at naming sports trivia, especially baseball.  Jeffrey "lived" for his daughter Haley and his grandson Gavin; they were the "sparkle-of-his-eye".  
Jeffrey is survived by both his parents, Henry and Darlene Stankewich; his daughter, Haley Lynn Stankewich of Ernest, PA, his daughter's mother, Laurie (Hipps) Stankewich, a brother Daryl Stankewich and his wife Jennifer of Punxsutawney, a niece Lauren Westover and her husband Craig of Hobesound, FL, a nephew Josh Stankewich of Punxsutawney, a great niece, Aria; and his grandson, Gavin. 
Jeffrey was preceded in death by his nephew, Ryan Stankewich.
Friends will be received on Friday, December 2, 2016 from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 p.m. at the Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc of Punxsutawney.  A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at t he funeral home and officiated by Pastor Carole Bergman. 
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Mr.Stankewich's memory to his daughter Haley.
