Gregory William Peace

Gregory William Peace, 66, of Stump Creek, died on Wednesday at home with his loving wife by his side.
Mr. Peace was born in DuBois on November 19, 1950, a son of the late Robert Clair Peace and Althea Mae (Murray) Peace.
On June 27, 1975 he married Cynthia Virginia Pifer. She survives him.
Greg was a U.S. Army veteran who served two enlistments, the first one during the Vietnam conflict in the 101st Airborne Division from November 29, 1969 to June 26, 1972. The second enlistment was from November 16, 1982 to November 15, 1986 in Alaska and Washington State.
He was a member of the Sykesville American Legion.
Greg was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. His greatest passion in life was spending time with his family.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Cynthia; three children, one son, Joshua James Peace of Reynoldsville; two daughters, Brandi Nicole Peace and “Boba” Miller of DuBois; Haylee Shae Peace and Taylor Neal of Duncansville; and two grandchildren, Nolan Wade Quick and Alithyia Noel Miller.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Robert Lee Peace.
Friends will be received from 3 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at Shumaker Funeral Home in Big Run, PA.  
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 22, 2017, at the funeral home with Pastor Tom Spiker officiating.
Interment will follow at the Davis Cemetery in Henderson Twp.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Greg’s memory to the Big Run Volunteer Fire Company.
