Edward Lee Mitchell

Edward Lee Mitchell, 60, of Punxsutawney passed away Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at the

Punxsutawney Area Hospital. 

He was born on August 14, 1957 in Punxsutawney, PA, a son of the late Elmer and Gloria

(Williams) Mitchell.

On May 5, 1979 he married the former Suzanne Rougeux. She survives him.

Edward worked as a maintenance mechanic and press assembler for Gasbarre Products in Dubois

for twenty-eight years, and most recently at Symmco Inc. in Sykesville.

In his spare time, he enjoyed running his tractor and working outside.

He was a loving husband and father. His biggest enjoyment was spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife, Suzanne, he is survived by one son, Christopher Mitchell of Punxsutawney;

one daughter, Rebecca Mitchell of Rochester, NY; five brothers, Theodore Mitchell; Elmer W. Mitchell,

Jr.; Donald Mitchell; Daniel Mitchell; and Kenneth Mitchell; three sisters, Patricia Dudek; Wanda Wachob; and Pam Newcome.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents.

Arrangements are private and entrusted to the Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Punxsutawney, PA.
